The I3T Lab, founded and directed by Dr. Liu, is at the forefront of conducting research in medical imaging and artificial intelligence. Artificial Intelligence for Medical Imaging
We develop new AI techniques to enhance image acquisition and reconstruction, automate image analysis and processing, and enable fully automated computer-assisted disease diagnosis and prediction.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
We delve into MRI physics, signal formulation, image reconstruction, and tissue modeling. Our focus is on developing original MRI methods to comprehend fundamental pathophysiological processes of diseases and provide tools for assessing tissue biological structures and activities in the brain, joints, and body.
Image Analysis and Modeling
We offer innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and precision of medical image processing, including segmentation, registration, and noise and artifact correction. Additionally, we create software and tools to simplify image analysis for brain and musculoskeletal images, supporting research in neuroscience and orthopedics.
